Fishing is ON! Big Bass are taking Bunker, Artificials and plugs on the troll. May 15th and 16th saw Stripers to 22lbs succumb to Hogy 4oz Darter Heads with Pink and White Hogy's being the hot colors.
Plenty of day and evenings trips available. |

Got out Friday and Saturday with my good buddy Sal and his son AJ. We combed the back waters and found plenty of Stripers from 12 to 22 inches all willing to take an assortment of Swimbaits,Flies, and Gulp! and Yo-Zuri excite-a-bites. The new PENN Conquer reels are some of the best spinning reels I have ever used. Spooled with Fireline they worked great.The spring run is going as planned and with temps hitting 80 degrees which is 20+degrees above normal should really get the bite rolling. And yes, there were Bunker making a showing! Call for prime dates. |

Happy New Year and here is the latest news.
I am proud to announce I will be filming with my good friends Captain Andy and Captain Rich from Northeast Angling TV in 2010 as well as filming another show with Capt. Blair Wiggins of Addictive Fishing TV. These shows will air in 2011 and I will keep you updated.

Saturday saw terrific Striper action at first light as Bass to 33 inches were quick to grab Yo-Zuri Hydro Pencils, Hogy Softbaits and AVA jigs all day long! The highlight of the day was spectacular topwater action as Birds, Bass and Huge Bluefish to 18 pounds were feeding on Sand Eels! Blues with busting guts full of sand eels were a great test to the New PENN Conqueror Spinning Reels on the New Torque Jigging Rods!
Sunday was a tough day as we managed to clear the Manasquan Inlet but the Noreaster greeted us with rolling 3 foot waves which grew to 6 feet! We headed back to the barn and decided to hit the Surf with our 9 ft PENN Surf Rods with a metal and teaser combo to take Bluefish and Bass all afternoon. It was a long day which started at 4am and ended at 4pm!

Fishing has been off and on and we'll be fishing out of Wills Hole Marina in Pt. Pleasant through the end of the Season. However, we will have 1 boat in the Western Sound so call for availability and get out before the long cold winter of Honey Do projects sets in! New Jersey has a traditional run of Striper blitzes right up to Christmas and as long as the water temps remain in the upper 40's and bait is present. Fish can be taken on light tackle with soft plastics, jigs, trolling and on the fly. |

Blackfishing/Tog have been fairly consistent and Stripers are being picked on the Troll and on Plugs. Open dates through December are available. |

Albies are making a showing and we are making trips to target them while they are in the area. Stripers and Blues are into their fall feeding patterns and should only get better with each passing day as all the small bait in the back waters are now on the move. |

Sorry for the lack of reports as the days and nights have been long ones. July finished strong and now that we are off a Moon, we have seen a new body of fish move in so contact me for trips as my schedule is wide open thru the fall.

Had the DiFazio Party out on Sunday and the guys from Field and Stream magazine and Outdoor Life Friday and both trips had some bang up action on Topwater plugs, Live Bunker and chunked baits.
Fluke season will be opening again with 2 fish per/angler limits, 21" fish and we will be doing combo trips so contact me for details. Bruiser Bluefish are in and are a Blast to catch on a "Fly Rod", nothing like hand to hand combat with a great fighting fish. |
